JUNE 2010

The summer is flying by.  We have been having way to much fun to squeeze in any blog time.  It is August and I am just now reporting on June. Ooops!

Who needs push toys when you have a bright blue bucket?  Ella loves to push "toys" around the house.

Kisses!  Ella started handing out kisses to very select "special" people.  Matt and I are now included in this group, but it took some coaxing.  "Grandma" Joanne was one of the first, of course.

My beautiful china from Greatmom.  My parents recently drove it home for me from Tucson.  Granddad had picked it out for Greatmom and brought it back from Japan years ago.  I love it!

"Crabby" baby blanket I made for Kim and Dave.  I am very proud to have figured out this pattern!

Ella thought, "So fun!"  I thought, "What a mess!  So glad my dog will clean that up."  Unfortunately, before the dog could get to her cleaning duties, Kylie had other ideas.  Kylie thought, "I will smash all these little cheerios into a fine powder!" (not pictured)

Kylie turns 4!

Some cute pictures!

Ella likes to hold onto our fingers and walk.  She refuses to take any steps unassisted.

Kylie fixed her own hair by putting it about 5 bows.

Ella had to get 6 shots!  It is all my fault, I failed to keep up with the immunization schedule.  She handled it very well, and many thanks to the 2 nurses who double teamed it and did 3 synchronized
sets of shots!

Matt got me a new camera!  Yippee!  Here are my very first pictures.  I am in love...with this camera and my husband.  Thanks Babe, you know me well! :)

GIANTS!

Matt needed to go to CA for work, so we added on a stop in San Francisco to see the Giants play.  It was so much fun.  This was Kylie's first Giants game, she liked the cotton candy and popcorn best!  Matt was thrilled to be there for the unveiling of the team's ORANGE jerseys and to see Tim Lincecum pitch!  It was also Snuggie night, which I was excited about.  Sadly, we got stuck in 5:00 traffic and got to the gates 20,000 people too late to get a Snuggie.  Not to worry, we still had a fantastic time!

Ella at 10 Months

My little baby is already 10 months!  Ella is crawling all over and moves quite fast.  She loves to splash in the dog's water bowl.  She also loves taking baths and cries now when it is time to get out.  She has 6 teeth poking through her gums, but still prefers pureed food.  She seems to always be smiling.

I LOVE Valentine's Day!

Kylie had her first Valentine party at her pre-school class!  She picked out Princess and the Frog Valentines and had a great time putting stickers on them.  Cookies, cupcakes, and candy...what's not to love?  Matt and I went to see the movie, "Valentine's Day."  It was fun to have a night out!

Christmas Eve

We enjoyed a delicious Christmas Eve feast at Matt's parents house.  Every year we read, "A Star in the Pasture."  It is tradition.  Matt's family read it when they were kids on Christmas Eve.  This year John put the pictures from the story on a big screen so everyone could see!

We also had a Slipper Exchange!  Everyone drew names and gave slippers!

Ella had a rough night, she was sick with a bad cold.  She cried all through dinner.  The only thing that made her happy was Carol's singing mouse decoration.  All the kids love it, the adults, not so much.  It sings, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" in a high pitched mouse voice and her nose lights up.  We played it over and over again so Ella wouldn't cry.  Then, she finally fell asleep.

At home later, all ready for bed in their Christmas Jammies!

S A N T A

Kylie and Ella went to see Santa!  Kylie talked his ear off and told him she wanted "a mermaid bath castle" for Christmas.  Ella stared at Santa for a minute, then turned and looked at me for her picture.  No tears, but no big smiles either.

Kylie was all about Santa this year!  She told me she was going to kiss him when she went to see him.  I was afraid...we had several discussions about NOT kissing Santa.  I told her she could hug Santa.  Luckily, all she did was hug him - twice!

I took this picture later that day at home, I just could not resist the matching sweater photo.
