Dr. Seuss Baby Shower

Kara loves Dr. Seuss books, so we decided a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower would be fun.  And it was!

Clothesline with Dr. Seuss quotes and bright, painted clothespins.

Name the Baby Game!  Guests suggested names and wrote them on sticky notes.
Cat in the Hat cut-out was ordered from Smile Makers.

Green Eggs and Ham!

Flag banner made from colored copies of Dr. Seuss Books and sewn onto ribbon.

Fabric table runner made by sewing red and white
fabric strips together at odd angles.
Really adds a Dr. Seuss look!

Shelly made these adorable cookie favors!  We attached
Dr. Seuss pins to the ribbon.
The pins came from the dollar section at Target.

Theme colored "Candy Bar."

Kara, our honored guest!

JUNE 2010

The summer is flying by.  We have been having way to much fun to squeeze in any blog time.  It is August and I am just now reporting on June. Ooops!

Who needs push toys when you have a bright blue bucket?  Ella loves to push "toys" around the house.

Kisses!  Ella started handing out kisses to very select "special" people.  Matt and I are now included in this group, but it took some coaxing.  "Grandma" Joanne was one of the first, of course.

My beautiful china from Greatmom.  My parents recently drove it home for me from Tucson.  Granddad had picked it out for Greatmom and brought it back from Japan years ago.  I love it!

"Crabby" baby blanket I made for Kim and Dave.  I am very proud to have figured out this pattern!

Ella thought, "So fun!"  I thought, "What a mess!  So glad my dog will clean that up."  Unfortunately, before the dog could get to her cleaning duties, Kylie had other ideas.  Kylie thought, "I will smash all these little cheerios into a fine powder!" (not pictured)

Kylie turns 4!

Some cute pictures!

Ella likes to hold onto our fingers and walk.  She refuses to take any steps unassisted.

Kylie fixed her own hair by putting it about 5 bows.

Ella had to get 6 shots!  It is all my fault, I failed to keep up with the immunization schedule.  She handled it very well, and many thanks to the 2 nurses who double teamed it and did 3 synchronized
sets of shots!

Matt got me a new camera!  Yippee!  Here are my very first pictures.  I am in love...with this camera and my husband.  Thanks Babe, you know me well! :)
